Mozilla will be releasing their own iPhone application called Firefox Home. The app has the ability to synchronize with the desktop client so that when you are mobile, you have immediate access to your “Firefox browsing history, bookmarks and the set of tabs from their most recent browser session.”
Along with this, Firefox Home will also introduce users to the “Awesome Bar”, a smart bar of sorts that will offer mobile users the ability to reach their favorite websites using a minimal number of keystrokes. When the application does launch, it will be available for free and in an effort to protect user privacy, Mozilla will also encrypt the synchronization of data that streams between the servers and your iPhone.
Checkout the short teaser video below on Mozilla’s new app.
